This winter window flower package is a fun activities for Chinese New Year celebration and Math symmetry practice. Prep free! Differentiated! Grade 1-6.

To celebrate Chinese New Year, Chinese cut red papers into various artistic patterns and paste them on the window. These designs could be flowers, animals, or Chinese characters. For simplicity, we can use white printer paper to cut, and mount the pattern on a red square paper.

You might want to do step by step with your students for the first project. They can be on their own to do the rest.

These projects range from easy to hard. For example, first graders can do Sample 1, 2, and 3 while fifth graders can do Sample 9.

This package could also be used for Math centers (symmetry).
